Maturity Premium is just different from Risk Premium. Maturity Premium is the higher part given by long-term bonds than short-terms bonds do. It's the compensation for all kinds of possible uncertainty in long term. Yet Market Risk Premium is the compensation for taking on the risk of common stock ownership. Therefore we've got an equation saying that rate of return on common stocks equals interest rate on Treasury bill plus market risk premium.

And again about Opportunity Cost of Capital - the most common phrase that i see everywhere everyday. It means the return that the firm's shareholders are giving up by investing in the new project rather than in comparable risk alternatives.

Today's very fun. I woke up seeing nobody else in the dorm, as usual.  How lonely this room is... Move myself to the lab. Strive like hell to make progress towards the paper. My boss just cannot see me there in front of him (over a cell wall, of course). Once he sees me like today, there's gonna be great shock wave to my graduation design work. He told me to change my main theme of the final paper, on May 7th,2008 - 20+ days before my graduation. Great fun, isn't it.

Afternoon, played billiards with Ryan and LT. Ryan is lovely. LT is lovely, too! I'm a brave, positive, thickskinned quick learner~ I really am~~~ Moreover, I regularly  hit great balls when facing an incredible hard angle. Refuse-peace kind of person, hoho! Evening, dinner's on Ryan...oops, with a former PKUer just back from UPenn. Dryly humorous handsome smart little guy. Seems even younger than I am. I asked how could be such well-preserved? Answered "due to the pure maths". OMG. Haha. But what really does make me OMG is... his roomie in UPenn. I didn't know this guy before but I knew his roomie, ten years ago. Life is a miraculous circle~

I've been in there for the first time today.

Weird thing happened to my Toshiba last night. Right after I clicked the link to Tuc, my Messenger died.  So i rebooted the machine, clicked messenger again - it says  "cannot find the file 'msnmsgr.exe'" Huge crash! While it's ok now - the new version msn's skin is so cute~~
